Firearms Regulation for Minnesota Deer Hunting?

Dizzle asked:

I am using an AR -15 for deer hunting this season, and would just like to ask one thing. What is the maximum magazine capacity allowed?

I think your first question should be whether or not your caliber is even legal to hunt with regarding big game. It has been a while since I hunted Minnesota, or taught Hunter Safety classes there, but it seems to me that the 22 caliber is a bit on the light side for humane hunting of anything the size of Minnesota’s big whitetail deer. Remember, this is a caliber that was designed to incapacitate the enemy rather than kill him outright on the premise that it would take more soldiers to care for the wounded than it would if they were killed. I hope you are a responsible hunter who goes out with the intent of making one clean and quick kill shot rather than relying on a spray of semi-automatic fire to inflect enough injury that the crippled animal can be tracked to the end of its blood trail and put out of its misery. Think about it. Please.
