I want to know what I should plant for a Whitetail deer food plot in and around a swamp?

Roy G asked:

What plants that deer like will grow in a swampy moss area? Something that has low light. Something that will produce late in the season, and that gives deer a lot of nutrients.

If you want to feed deer and most people don’t feed them; try hostas.

Hostas to deer are like candy to children.

They will grow in low light and some will grow in swampy conditions.

But why do you want to feed them — are these pets?

Any type of grasses, grains would make great food for the deer! Truthfully, just letting Mother Nature do her things would provide good foods too! She knows what her “critters” need!

My dad plants clover up here in Michigan. They sure do love it! In the mornings, he can see them feeding outside at the plot.
